Welcome to Wells Fargo Arena for today’s non-conference game between the Arizona State Sun Devils and the North Carolina A&T Aggies. I’ll be live blogging the game today.

1st half
18:00 – Devils lead 6-2, hit their first two 3-pt attempts of the game
15:25 – ASU leads 12-5. Ruslan Pateev starting to look comfortable on the court with a two-handed slam. Trent Lockett had a nice drive to the bucket and got the and 1.
12:20 – Sun Devil lead now 17-13, Aggies doing a nice job of hitting threes and finding the open holes in the Sun Devil defense
11:17 – Sun Devils up 17-13. Aggies defense looking very good in that last stretch, almost stifling the Sun Devils on the last couple possessions
9:45 – Ty Abott drains a long three with the shot clock winding down, 20-13 ASU
7:59 – ASU leads NC A&T 20-14. Good defense on both sides in this latest run
6:02 – ASU leads 20-18. Shots aren’t falling for the Devils, they really aren’t getting great looks either. Credit the A&T Defense
5:30 – Aggies take the lead at 21-20 after a big three pointer from Nic Simpson
3:29 – A&T leads 23-20. Sun Devils have gone cold from the field, they aren’t hitting their shots. 10-0 run for A&T in the last 6:17
1:50 – Kuksiks breaks ASU drought with a 3 pt FG. 25-23 A&T
0:07 – Ty Abbott gets fouled, headed to the line, misses both
Halftime – Thomas Coleman with a big two-handed put back right before half. North Carolina A&T leads 29-23 at the half. Sun Devils need to regroup
2nd Half
18:40 – Marc Hill opens up the half with a 3 to give the Aggies a 9 point lead
18:07 – Sendek calls a timeout, ASU in some danger down by 11 early in the 2nd half. They can’t lose this game
15:52 – North Carolina A&T leads 38-26. Their offense looks good and the Sun Devils are having a tough time getting their offense off the ground
14:51 – Carrick Felix trying to will the Sun Devils back into this game, draws contact and goes to the line on two straight possessions, perfect from the line, ASU down by 8
14:10 – Nic Simpson leads all scorers with 17 points, makes 1/2 from the line, Aggies up by 9
13:49 – Keala King with the and 1. He converts, Sun Devils down 6
12:50 – Chanse Creekmur is a 3-pt specialist, and he’s showing it right now. Has hit two big 3′s to cut the deficit to 3 points
11:18 – Alley-OOP!! Abbott to Lockett, what a play!
9:55 – ASU defense struggling on the perimeter, Witter hits another big 3, Aggies up 7
8:36 – Kuksiks for 3, and he draws the foul, going to the line after the timeout…Devils down by 4
Rik converts, Devils down 3
6:35 – Pateev makes a nice move in the post – Devils trail 50-46
6:26 – Traveling by A&T gives the ball back to ASU at the media timeout. Nice little stat: ASU has 17 bench points opposed to NC A&T, they have no bench points
5:13 – ASU down by 2 after a Trent Lockett put-back
4:05 – All tied up at 50, wide open lane for King to drive
2:42 – Kuksiks gives ASU a lead with a big 3 point shot
2:27 – ASU leads 53-50 at the media timeout, thanks to a 9-0 run in the last five minutes. Kuksiks having a banner day with 15 points, 12 of those coming from beyond the arc.
