Good afternoon, and welcome inside Wells Fargo Arena for Pac-10 basketball, featuring the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Washington Cougars. ASU (9-16, 1-12) will look to end its 11-game conference losing streak, while Washington State (17-7, 7-7) will continue to try to make a push for the NCAA Tournament.

-ASU will be without Rihards Kuksiks (ankle) and Ty Abbott (shoulder).
-WSU will be without Faisal Aiden (knee)
Here are today’s starting lineups
WSU: Marcus Capers, Reggie Moore, Brock Motum, DeAngelo Casto and Abe Lodwick
ASU: Jamelle McMillan, Corey Hawkins, Kyle Cain, Chanse Creekmur and Trent Lockett
First Half
13:22- First timeout of the game, and ASU leads 13-10. Nine of the Sun Devils’ 12 shots have been three-point attempts. Trent Lockett is leading the way with five points.
11:20- ASU leads WSU 20-14 at the under-12 timeout. Carrick Felix just had a nice one-handed slam that brought the crowd to its feet. The Sun Devils are 7-of-14 from the floor, including 4-of-10 from three.
7:10- We’ve reached the under-8 timeout, and ASU leads WSU 27-18. Jamelle McMillan will have an opportunity to complete a three-point play after the break. Sun Devils playing with a lot of energy so far.
3:54- Final media timeout of the half, and ASU leads 33-23. Keala King has played well, with 7 points, a steal and an assist off the bench.
0:00- ASU takes a 40-28 lead into halftime. The team is playing with a lot of energy today. Trent Lockett and Chanse Creekmur leading the way for ASU with 9 points each.
The ASU freshman combined to score 21 of the 40 first half points.
Second Half
15:40- ASU scored the first four points of the half, but WSU is starting to get back in it, now down by eight. Klay Thompson has scored six of the Cougars’ ten points in the half.
14:37- First media timeout of the half, and ASU leads 48-38.
11:24- Timeout on the floor, and ASU has a 53-45 lead. Chanse Creekmur has 14 points for the Sun Devils, while Klay Thompson has 17, including 13 in this half. He’s single-handidly keeping WSU in the game.
7:41- Things starting to get chippy, as Keala King and DeAngelo Casto have to be separated after a foul, resulting in double technicals. ASU’s lead is down to two, 56-54. Washington State will be in the double bonus the rest of the game. The Cougars have outscored the Sun Devils 26-12, after trailing by 16 early in the half.
3:53- Final timeout of the game, and WSU is up 62-61. Trent Lockett will be at the line after the timeout.
1:43- ASU is up 65-62, and Keala King will be at the line to shoot free throws. Washington State has missed 10 free throws this half.
0:46- Trent Lockett made two free throws to put ASU up by six, but Klay Thompson drills a quick three to cut the deficit in half. ASU ball, up 68-65.
0:06- ASU had a three-point lead and Washington State had a chance to tie, but Thompson missed two three-point attempts. Abe Lodwick got fouled on the offensive rebound, though, and made two free throws. Sun Devils lead 70-69 and Chanse Creekmur will be at the line to shoot two.
0:00- Lodwick misses what would have been the game-winning three-pointer, and the game is over. ASU wins 71-69. The losing streak is over. Sun Devils improve to 10-16 overall, 2-12 in the Pac-10 and will be at UCLA next Thursday.
