ASU-Wisconsin 2nd Quarter Live Blog

During the break, Badger fans gave Barry Alvarez a standing ovation for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

14:55- A big 3rd down coming up for Wisconsin. ASU is playing with all the confidence in the world.

14:49- ASU’s defense stops Wisconsin on a 3rd and 7, and the Badgers are forced to punt.

14:29- An illegal block in the back penalty negates what would have been a Sun Devil touchdown on the punt return. ASU ball at its own 10-yard line. Very costly penalty.

14:13- Deantre Lewis nearly breaks free for an ASU touchdown, but he still gets a 32-yard rush that puts ASU at its own 42-yard line.

13:04- The Sun Devils are moving the ball well on offense, they are in Wisconsin territory at the 40-yard line.

10:58- ASU’s offense is giving Wisconsin all sorts of problems. The Sun Devils have a golden opportunity fora touchdown, as they are at the Wisconsin 13-yard line.

9:34- George Bell drops what would have been an ASU touchdown. Third and five for ASU, from Wisconsin’s 8-yard line.

9:26- The Sun Devils fail to convert on 3rd and 5, but Thomas Weber makes a 25-yard field goal to extend the lead to 10-3.

9:15- The Badgers return the ensuing kickoff to their own 25-yard line.

7:51-A play action pass burns the Sun Devils, as Wisconsin has the ball at the ASU 33-yard line.

6:46- Wisconsin faces a 3rd and 14 after Vontaze Burfict nearly intercepts a Scott Tolzien pass.

6:01- Philip Welch connects on a 44-yard field goal, and the Badgers cut the lead to four.

5:53- A holding penalty on the ensuing kickoff gives ASU the ball on its own 14-yard line.

5:04- Steven Threet is sacked for the first time in the game, Sun Devils face a 3rd and 17 from their own 18-yard line. Wisconsin fans are getting loud again.

4:13- ASU is forced to punt, and the Badgers return the kick to their own 28-yard line.

2:08- Scott Tolzien connects with Lance Kendricks at the ASU 41-yard line. Badgers hoping to get more points before the end of the half.

1:23- The Badgers are moving the ball well through the air on this drive. They have the ball on the ASU 20-yard line.

:36- A 3rd and 1 coming up for Wisconsin. Ball on the ASU 11-yard line.

:30- John Clay converts the third down for Wisconsin, and it’s now 1st and goal from the ASU 10.

:21- A holding penalty on the Badgers put them back at the ASU 20-yard line.

:15- A pass interference penalty on Omar Bolden negates the last penalty on Wisconsin. It’s 1st and 10 for the Badgers from the 14-yard line.

10: Scott Tolzien connects with Lance Kendricks for a 14-yard touchdown pass. Badgers up 13-10.

:01- Chaos at the end of the first half. Kyle Middlebrooks returns the ensuing kickoff 95-yards, but is stopped at the ONE-yard line. Badgers up 13-10 at the end of the first half. Stay tuned for second half coverage.
