Start of the 2nd half coming up in a few minutes, as Wisconsin leads ASU 13-10. The Sun Devils left 24 points on the board in the first half. It’s anyone’s game.
ASU will get the ball to start the half.
14:53- Omar Bolden returns the kick to the ASU 24-yard line. Sarcastic cheers coming from the Wisconsin fans.
13:28- Three first downs on the first four plays for ASU’s offense. Sun Devil ball at the Badger 43-yard line.
12:25- Steven Threet hooks up with Kerry Taylor for an 18-yard pass. Sun Devil ball at the Badger 25-yard line.
11:11- The Sun Devils are unable to score a touchdown, but Thomas Weber drills a 36-yard field gioal to tie the game at 13.
11:05- James White returns the ensuing kickoff to the Badger 30-yard line.
10:34- All the talk coming into the game was about Wisconsin’s run game, but the passing game has been the highlight for the Badgers, as Scott Tolzien has thrown for 185 yards.
9:56- And just as I write that, John Clay goes off for a 13-yard run.
8:56- Third and 5 coming up for Wisconsin, from ASU’s 36-yard line.
8:19- Wisconsin fails to convert on 3rd down, and the Badgers are forced to punt.
8:10- The Badgers down the punt at ASU’s two-yard line.
8:02- Deantre Lewis gets the Sun Devils out of trouble, as he erupts for a 32-yard run to put ASU at the 34-yard line. He would have had a touchdown if he didn’t run into TJ Simpson. ASU’s mistakes hurt them yet again.
7:12- Steven Threet is sacked on 3rd and 9, and ASU is forced to punt. Wisconsin has the ball at its 12-yard line.
4:29- Wisconsin is pounding ASU with the run game. It’s Badger ball at the Sun Devil 28-yard line.
2:48- John Clay scores a 19-yard touchdown on a 3rd and 1. Wisconsin leads 20-13.
ASU returns the ensuing kickoff to its 25-yard line. Sarcastic cheers coming once again from the Badger faithful.
2:15- Steven Threet completes a third and four pass to TJ Simpson. Huge play for ASU, who silence the Camp Randall crowd, for now.
1:42- Sun Devils face another third down from their own 42-yard line. Fans rise to their feet.
1:35- Threet’s pass to George Bell is incomplete, and the Badgers get the ball back at their own 15-yard line.
We’ve reached the end of the 3rd quarter, with Wisconsin up 20-13.
