ASU women cruise past Oregon 86-67

The Arizona State women’s basketball team moved to (10-2) overall and (2-0) in the Pac-10 with a convincing win over the Oregon Ducks Sunday at Wells Fargo Arena.

Kimberly Brandon led the way for the Sun Devils with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Dymond Simon added 15 points and Becca Tobin added 12. The Sun Devils outrebounded the Ducks 46-31.

For the Ducks, Nia Jackson led the way with 17 points. Nicole Canepa added 13 in the losing effort.

The Sun Devils led by ten at halftime and then pulled away in the second half.

The Lady Devils will head on the road for their next two games. ASU will play Cal at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley on Thursday at 8pm AZ time. The Devils will then play #8 Stanford at Maples Pavilion Saturday at 3pm AZ time.
