The Arizona State Sun Devils women’s basketball team got a big statement win on Sunday, defeating the Arizona Lady Wildcats at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe.
The Sun Devils were able to force 22 turnovers and outrebounded Arizona 41-30.
Kimberly Brandon led ASU in scoring with 13 points. She also posted 10 rebounds for a double-double. Becca Tobin had 12 points and 6 boards for the Sun Devils.
For Arizona, Davellyn Whyte led the way with 13 points. One of Arizona’s leading scorers, Ify Ibekwe, was sick this past week and played in limited minutes for the Wildcats on Sunday. She did not score in the game.
The Lady Sun Devils move to (11-4) and (3-2) in the Pac-10. Arizona falls to (11-5) and (2-3) in the Pac-10.
