Welcome to The Blaze’s Live Blog of the 3rd seeded Arizona State Lady Devils as they take on the 10th seeded Oregon State Lady Beavers. This is the first of four games to be played today at the Galen Center. We are set for a 1pm AZ time tip-off.

ASU beat Oregon State 59-54 in Corvallis last Saturday. ASU swept the Lady Beavers this season.

Oregon State coming out with a zone defense against ASU
18:45 – Tenaya Watson with a steal and a basket, 2-0 ASU
15:13 – At the first media timeout, ASU leads OSU 4-3. The Devils have let the Beavers get some good looks right near the basket, but OSU hasn’t been able to convert, shooting under 20% early
11:32 – ASU holds a 12-11 lead. A big 3-pt shot from Olivia Major curbed some of the Beavers momentum.
10:08 -Sage Indendi just made a shot for OSU to cut it to 14-13. Indendi has taken six shots already and has made two
7:53 – Sun Devils are on a 6-0 run and hold a 20-13 lead over the Lady Beavers. ASU is outrebounding Oregon State 10-7, and the Devils have forced seven Beaver turnovers
5:55 – Sun Devils up eight, 23-15
4:50 – Long stoppage to readjust shot clock…ASU up 23-17
3:35 – ASU hasn’t scored a point in four minutes. Oregon State has only been able to score four points in that stretch. Sun Devils still up 23-17.
2:00 – ASU finally shooting free throws, Becca Tobin makes both. ASU leads 25-19
0:49 – Kimberly Brandon was just assessed a technical foul, Sage Indendi makes one of the two free throws. Now Dymond goes to the line for the FTs she was supposed to take. Simon makes both. Devils lead 27-20
Halftime: Arizona State 27 – Oregon State 20
Dymond Simon leads the Sun Devils with 7 points. El Sara Greer leads the Beavers with 7. ASU is outrebounding the Beavers 19-13.
2nd Half
Underway in the 2nd half
17:58 – A 3 ptr from Dymond Simon has ASU up 30-20
14:56 – Oregon State gets five points in about 10 seconds with a basket, an ASU turnover and a 3 from Sage Indendi, cuts the Sun Devil lead to 35-28
14:28 – ASU having trouble getting the offense going, still up by 7. ASU shooting 33% from the floor, OSU shooting just under 42%.
13:11 – Sun Devils very sloppy with the basketball right now, Beavers within 5. Zone D is giving ASU fits
11:16 – Sun Devils lead 37-32, still a five point lead. ASU is dominating on the glass today, outrebounding the Beavers 28-18. ASU has 21 points off Beaver turnovers. OSU has 9 points off Sun Devil turnovers
9:00 – ASU leads 41-34. The Sun Devils are a perfect 6 for 6 from the line so far today…hope I didn’t jinx it
7:14 – Sun Devils hold a 43-36 lead. The ASU lead has been hovering around seven points all day long. ASU making some careless turnovers down the stretch, allowing the Beavers to stay in the game
5:37 – Beavers now within three, ASU hasn’t had a FG in 2 minutes, Charli Turner Thorne calls timeout
3:52 – Arizona State holds a 45-40 lead over the Oregon State Beavers. Sun Devils doing just enough to hold on to the lead right now. ASU could put this game to bed with a couple of big shots
2:24 – Dymond Simon the recipient of a beautiful pass from Tobin. Basket is good and Simon makes the FT. ASU up 48-42. Beavers coach Scott Rueck call timeout
1:28 – Simon’s 3 pt attempt just banked off the side of the backboard. ASU up 48-44. Charli calls timeout
0:19 – ASU did a great job of running clock, despite not getting a basket. Devils up by four, OSU has to foul. But Tenaya goes all the way for a lay-up, sealing the Sun Devil win
