M3F Festival Preview

The Charitable Music Festival has Star-Studded Lineup to Boot.

The McDowell Mountain Music Festival (M3F) is returning to Margaret T. Hance Park in Phoenix on March 3-4, 2023. This is the festival’s second consecutive year, after being canceled in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival, which originated in 2004 has been staged in both Scottsdale and Phoenix over the years and in the past featured artists such as Beck and Kid Cudi. This year the festival, which already donates 100% of its proceeds to charity, has launched its own, known as the M3F Fund.

The fund, which is in its first year of operation, has a mission statement on its website that says its mission is to “support the three C’s: Community, Culture and Charity.”

There’s no question that this festival brings music and culture together, and with 100% of ticket sales already going to charity, you could say that was enough. But M3F is taking it one step further, hoping for year-round charitable efforts with the launch of this fund to really give back to the community.

According to the M3F Fund website, the 2022 festival raised over $1.2 million and gave it back to local charities that are centered around four main categories: Arts, Community, Education and Environment.

For more information about the fund and which charities they have already supported visit their website.

While the launch of the fund will be one of the main objectives on the weekend for organizers of the event, there are plenty of artists to look forward to seeing perform on the stages at Hance Park.

Here are a few must-see acts artists who will be at M3F:

COIN- Friday March 3

Coming off of their successful “Uncanny Valley Tour” in 2022 the band will be playing their first show in 2023 and have been teasing new music consistently on their social media the last week and a half.

Regardless if a new single is released before M3F, COIN has a discography full of great songs to choose from for their set.

Becky Hill- Friday, March 3

The British singer got her start on season one of The Voice UK and despite not winning her season, Hill has gone on to have a successful career in music. She has already released multiple UK top ten hits and has worked with David Guetta on a number of songs.

Chelsea Cutler- Saturday, March 4

A Times Square performance on New Year’s Eve and one at Lollapalooza India seems like a pretty good start to the year for the 26-year-old. She’s frequent collaborator Quinn XCII, and fans wonder if we could see them hit the stage together.

For the complete 2023 M3F lineup, visit the festival’s official website. With the festival over three weeks away, there are still tickets available for purchase.

M3F 2023 is a celebration of charitable efforts in the community. Last year’s festival hit record numbers in both attendance and money raised, but this year’s could be the best yet.
