Blaze Newsletter Oct. 15-28

Blaze Radio has been on a roller coaster the past two weeks and has put out a lot of stellar content!

Regretting You

Blaze helped promote Colleen Hoover and Josh Boone’s film Regretting You, starring Mckenna Grace and Mason Thames. Blaze News tabled on Taylor Mall in association with the film and had the opportunity to ask the cast questions about the project. The article, written by Angel Garcia and Spencer West and featuring the cast’s answers, is up on The Flare now. Go to blazeradioonline.com to check it out!

ASU Football vs. Texas Tech

The Arizona State football team upset No. 7 Texas Tech last weekend, and Blaze was on the scene covering every aspect of the matchup that ended in a $50,000-priced field storming. Blaze Sports football writers Wyatt Baumeyer and Zach Dworaczyk both delivered in-depth recaps, and our Game of the Week broadcasters Aidan O’Neill and Aiden Blanc called the stunner from the press box.

“It feels like in close games, the winner of the turnover battle is going to come out on top,” O’Neill said. “That pick by Martell Hughes, popped up into the air, is when Arizona State really started to take control of the football game.”

The next ASU football game will be our…

Game of the Week!

Our Blaze Sports Game of the Week is once again the freshly ranked No. 24 Arizona State football team this time taking on Houston at Mountain America Stadium at 5 p.m. MST on Oct. 25. Our broadcast will be brought to you by Max Zepeda and Lochlan McTeague, who are ready to bring you the action from the opening kick to the final whistle.

“Without a doubt, the line of scrimmage will determine Saturday's victor,” Zepeda said in anticipation of the matchup. “Whether it be ASU, in the minds of many ‘taking care of business,’ or if Houston obtains its biggest win since joining the Big 12 in 2023.”

“Houston has only scored one more point than its opponents in the first quarter of games this year, and ASU has struggled to find its rhythm early in games,” McTeague said. “The third quarter will be fascinating on Saturday. Games at Mountain America Stadium have had a knack for being crazy, and this season is no different. I expect the Sun Devils to pull away late, but this will be a game that will keep fans on the edge of their seats all evening long.”

McTeague and Zepeda will be calling the game and want to recognize the people behind the scenes. “There's a lot the average listener may not see or even realize goes on each week to make this happen,” McTeague said. “As a broadcaster, yes, your voice will be what people hear when they tune in, but we are such a small piece of this weekly puzzle. It takes monumental efforts for this to be executed smoothly, and I think by tuning in, you're celebrating those efforts.”

Blaze’s game coverage will start on blazeradioonline.com a few minutes before kickoff at 5 p.m. MST, with the Blaze pregame show starting at 4:30 p.m. MST.
