Involved in a three-team trade with the Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Phoenix Suns, the Bucks get Damian Lillard, the Trail Blazers acquire Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, Milwaukee’s 2029 first-round pick, and two pick swaps, while Phoenix brings Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson.

A season to forget, and one that ended with the parting of ways with the head coach, a large number of players entering the transfer portal, and many questions surrounding the future of the team. During the offseason, a new head coach was hired, along with a brand new coaching staff, and a whole new team outlook. Nine players returned, and six new players joined, rounding out the team at 15. New head coach JJ Van Niel, formerly the associate head coach at USC for five seasons, stressed the importance of team chemistry and camaraderie as soon as he arrived in the spring and continued that message through the summer and preseason.

The Arizona Cardinals just experienced one of the most embarrassing losses of the 2023 season. Going into halftime, the Cardinals were winning 20-0 and still leading 28-14 going into the 4th quarter. The Giants, however, scored 17 in the final quarter while simultaneously shutting out the Cardinals on the defensive side.The game ended 31-28 with the Giants coming out victorious. This, although, is not even the worst of the Arizona Cardinals.

They have built a foundation of success and a standard of excellence, culminating with three Super Bowls. Broncos country expects nothing else other than winning. A new set of regulations on short-term rentals passed unanimously at the Phoenix City Council Meeting on Sept. 21. The new regulations require a city-approved permit for landowners to use their property as short-term rentals (STRs), and have stronger restrictions on usage that will come into effect on Nov. 6.

From the incredible talent and legendary coaches to its nationwide significance as a pop culture phenomenon, the football played on the University of Notre Dame campus has been embedded in the history of college football for nearly as long as the sport has been relevant in America. However, in recent years, the Fighting Irish have been just as well known as a disappointment as a powerhouse in the sport.
When the 2023 Formula 1 season started, Alpha Tauri had a driver pairing of then 22-year-old Yuki Tsunoda, entering his third year in the top flight of motorsports, and 28-year-old F1 rookie, Nyck de Vries. Despite being an older rookie in F1, de Vries wasn’t seen as an easy opponent for Tsunoda. It was expected that both teammates would push each other and that de Vries might even edge out Tsunoda for the team’s top spot. However, expectations don’t always come to fruition. De Vries was subbed out for Daniel Riccardo, who then was replaced by Liam Lawson due to an injury. Riccardo will race alongside Tsunoda last year, but a Lawson-Tsunoda pairing makes much more sense.

When the Arizona Coyotes moved into Mullett Arena, an NCAA hockey arena meant for Arizona State’s Division 1 men’s and women’s hockey programs, National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman was under extreme scrutiny from most of the other NHL fanbases.
As the summer turns to autumn, all 362 division-one basketball programs begin their preparations for the upcoming season, which tips off on November 6th. In this ‘new era’ of collegiate athletics, the transfer portal and NIL play a significant part in how coaches address building their roster, which begs the question: Who won the summer? Of course, being a winner during the summer in college basketball does not necessarily mean that a program obtained all of the highly touted transfers. Being able to retain players that could have potentially jumped into the portal or the NBA draft can benefit a roster as much as adding through the portal. There are a handful of teams that excelled in one, or multiple, of these areas more than the others.
With the MiLB season wrapping up across all levels, there are several minor league players who have had impressive seasons up and down affiliated ball. Some players stayed the entire season at one level, and some jumped all the way to the lower levels of the minors all the way to Triple A and even the majors. Here are five players who had stellar seasons in the minor leagues.
