PHOENIX, AZ — A new school year is upon the horizon and Blaze Radio’s Sports Department is officially back. Following a year in which the station aired nearly 250 live sporting events, the department returns for another school year of incredible games, storylines, and much more.
The new year starts with the exciting new campaign of Arizona State women’s soccer to Blaze Radio. The Sun Devils are a program fresh off its second appearance in the NCAA tournament in the last three seasons and has won 28 matches in the last three seasons.
“Blaze is super excited to get women’s soccer on its airways for the 2023 fall semester,” said Ryan Sykora, Blaze Radio Sports Director. “10 home games this year is a fun task and the importance is even greater considering that [Arizona State] volleyball isn’t playing any home games until conference play begins. It should be an exciting opportunity to add to our docket this school year.”
Graham Winkworth’s seventh season as head coach begins with a pair of non-conference matches this weekend against Wright State and Mississippi State. The season kickoff will be available to listen to on blazeradioonline.com/page/blazesportsmixlr or Blaze Radio’s Mixlr page. Jack Bartlett, Chase Beardsley, Jordy Fee-Platt, and Mihir Sinhassan will be providing commentary for the two matches.
