Stars shined bright on the Oscars Red Carpet. Here are the outfits the winners wore.

The 95th Academy Awards was one for the books, as countless film industry professionals were recognized for their work in 2022. While the Met Gala is fashion’s biggest night, The Oscars serve as a red carpet lookbook featuring some of the film industry’s most prominent names. This year’s winners took center stage in classic, high-end outfits. Here’s an overview of some of the biggest winners of the night.

Michelle Yeoh

Yeoh won the Best Actress award for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Yeoh began her career as an actress in Hong Kong and began pursuing a career in the American film industry, first in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Her performance as Evelyn Wang was her first time being nominated for an Academy Award. In winning, she became the first Asian actress to win for Best Actress in a leading role.

Yeoh was dressed to the nines in a Dior couture dress and simple statement jewelry. The gown featured layers of feathers on a silken ivory base. The dress’s detailed design took over 450 hours of hand-sewing to complete.

Ke Huy Quan

Quan was a child actor in the 1980s, remembered best for his roles in The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. In the 1990s, Quan struggled to find work, which led him to trying his hand at stunt choreography and assistant directing. Quan returned to acting with his performance as Waymond Wang, his first role in over 20 years. Quan became just the second actor of Asian descent to win for Best Supporting Actor.

Quan went with an understated look for his big awards night, donning a simple black Giorgio Armani tuxedo. He elevated the look with his staple accessory, a lapel pin that was a Fred Leighton Art Nouveau piece. Quan’s look was a callback to his earlier awards shows in 2022, according to The Hollywood Reporter, when Armani was one of the only designers to lend clothes to the actor.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Curtis is best known for her roles in Halloween (1978) and Freaky Friday. Curtis earned her first Academy Award nomination and won for her performance as Deirdre Beaubeirdre.

Curtis wore a sparkly, long-sleeved, floor-length gown by Dolce & Gabbana. The dress featured a corseted silhouette and a high neckline. The outfit was paired with statement jewelry by Cathy Waterman, who has designed pieces for the actress in the past.

Brendan Fraser

Fraser was a Hollywood star in the 1990s, notably starring in The Mummy trilogy. During the 2000s and 2010s, Fraser struggled to find work but eventually began to find bigger roles in the late 2010s, leading to his Best Actor-winning performance as Charlie in The Whale. It’s safe to say Fraser made a comeback.

Fraser was dressed in a simple black tuxedo for his Oscars reappearance. He paired the look with a statement silver bar pin. The actor wore standard patent leather black loafers to match his suit.
